I've been loving the
Maybelline products lately and it gives me more urge to buy more and more. I
did the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick review last time, if you
haven't read it click HERE. Now, I wanted to try the Maybelline Superstay Full
Coverage foundation.
I've given up the liquid
foundation or any Maybelline Foundation before, because no matter what brand
and how I applied it, it still doesn't look good or flawless to my skin. I
don't know why it doesn't look the same as the beauty Youtuber does. Anyways,
last week I watched the channel of Simply Rhaze and she made a review of
Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage foundation, and I was amazed how it looks so
good on her. We have the same skin tone, I guess? I also have a brown skin or
what they called "Morena". She also made a test on how the foundation
can last long and it did last so long until afternoon. And it persuades me, of
course, LOL! So I bought one.
I bought the Maybelline
Superstay Full Coverage foundation in Watson and it cost me 349.00 THB.
However, there is no available shade “334 warm sun” the same shade as Simply Rhaze in Watson, they only have
limited shade. So, I just guessed what looks good on me and pick the “310 sun
beige”. I actually have two options during that time, but I picked the “310 sun
beige” and it made me regret when I tried it at home, because it is definitely
not my shade. It's quite a bit dark for me. Haizt! What can I do? I already
spent my money for this. What I can do is to use it and finish it all and then
by the other shade.
Now let's not get into the
dramatic buying choices I had, let’s get into the review if the Maybelline
Superstay Full Coverage foundation is really worth the money for a makeup lover
like me, but doesn't know how to use make-up. LOL!
Positive:
-Packaging is so nice, I love
how they place the product in a glass packaging so I can see if it's almost
empty or not. And the pump is amazing. I like make-up products that have pumps
so that it's not messy at all, and convenient to use.
-Consistency of the product is
so nice, it's not sticky at all, and it’s a little bit watery and spread easily
to the face. I used a damp beauty blender
-It dry easily to my face, it
is good, especially when I'm always in a hurry. And it’s so lightweight.
Negative
-Coverage is I'm not sure.
Actually, I'm not sure if it’s my skin or it’s just the foundation. The
coverage is so good in some parts of my face, however, in my cheek part it
doesn't cover my little Milia. I tried to use with primer and without primer,
but still it doesn't cover. However, I tried to re-apply the “310 sun beige” to
my face in the afternoon when I get home from work and it covers my Milia a
little bit. Now I'm confused, is it my skin or the foundation? LOL!
Both
-I have a combination, oily
and dry skin, because my T-zone is a little bit oily at the end of the day if I
didn't retouch. The biggest question for Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage
foundation is, is it longwear? My answer is both. The foundation is still in my
face until afternoon like 5:00 PM, however, in my T-zone, there's a little bit
of oiliness going on, just a little though. Other than that it still covers my
face.
My overall review, I love
Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage foundation and probably I will buy a new one
with the correct shade for my skin and probably use it more often. It's totally
worth the money, budget friendly and the coverage is fair enough for me even
though my Milia is not fully covered. Have you tried the Maybelline Superstay
Full Coverage foundation? Does it satisfy you? Let me know in the comment
section below.
