It is a product of Thailand and I was captivated with the visual photos on their Instagram, @her.thailand. Their Instagram profile is really aesthetic, and well I bought the 100 g jar for 159 THB.
Before I dive in, in my personal review of HER Natural Tamarind Scrub and Mask Cream. Let's talk about the benefits of their ain ingredients Tamarind. Now for my personal review:
- The jar is cute, simple, and minimalist. However, 90% of their label is written in Thai so it's hard to really understand how to use it, what's it really about. So, I needed to do my research and ask a Thai friend to translate.
- When I received the cream, I don't like the smell, its very strong. However, after using it for __ now, I get used to the smell. The smell is Tamarind candy. It reminds me of the Tamarind candy in the Philippines coated with sugar wrap in yellow cellophane. It smells like that.
- It's not light neither heavy, it's in the middle, the texture is semiliquid and mushy it's not creamy. Imagine a mashed potato applied in your skin, that's the texture.
- It doesn't have beads, I assumed that It has because it's a scrub. I guess not all scrubs have beads?
- During the first week that I am using the HER Natural Tamarind Scrub and Mask Cream, I used it incorrectly. I thought I just apply it into my face, massage, and then wash. But it's been a week and I see no difference, even a little. Then I visited their IG again and their instructions are in Thai. It's not that I'm complaining, but I wished they also translated it to English, it's also a good marketing strategy, to widen their market. Anyways, I did everything I can to understand their instructions, until I discovered, you have to apply in your skin, leave for 15 - 30 minutes and wash. See? I used it very wrong. So, I did try again and use correctly, and in my surprised the result
- While the product is in my face waiting for 20 minutes, it becomes dry in my face and after I wash my face I feel nothing, It's just the same feeling with my regular facial wash.
- After a week of using the HER Natural Tamarind Scrub and Mask Cream correctly, I did not see any huge difference, it lightens my skin a little but I did not notice any huge miracles. Maybe because it's just a week? I'm not sure. But I love using it, it makes my skin calm.
If you would ask me If I will buy again HER Natural Tamarind Scrub and Mask Cream, maybe not, It's just an experiment if it will really work.
