What is the purpose of a hair mask? Why a hair mask is so important? so many "Why?" But hair mask provides moisturizing and nourishing hair, they are helpful for dry, damaged and frizzy hair. I do have a damaged hair because I was obsessed with having the perfect hair. But then I realized I cannot afford to always go to the salon to fix my dying hair every day so I need a better and long term solution and found the best hair mask products in the market from affordable to luxury.
A quick history for Haircare treatment throughout all time, by the way, when I'm researching the history of hair treatment I realized it's quite odd and weird that they have these ideas and how scientific progress each decade. During the Ancient Egyptians and Ancient Greeks, hair care is simple and we also used it in this current time, like argan oil and olive oil. However, in the Victorian period, I don't know what happened but it became weird like they used bull blood and the horrifying is the Pre-World War II they used a device called The Icall permanent-wave machine to make their hair curl via electrical wires. Sounds weird right? Well, we can't blame them during this time it is already an advanced tech.
Before we proceed with our hair mask products recommendations let me share with you loves some ingredients to avoid in your hair mask.
a. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES): Sulfates are safe to use however Sulfate is very strong in cleaning your hair and scalp leaving no oils, which means even your natural oils will be ripped off and it will result to dry hair and sooner or later your hair will get damaged.
b. Methyl-paraben, propyl-paraben, parahydroxybenzoate: Avoid any kinds of Paraben even though the Ads says it's safe to use still avoid Parabens. Parabens are preservatives to prevent the growth of bacteria in the product from hair care to skincare to cosmetic. There is a study that Parabens can cause cancer however there is no definite proof about that.
c. Alcohol Denat, SD Alcohol 3-A, SD Alcohol 30, SD Alcohol 39-B, SD Alcohol 39-C, SD Alcohol 40-B, SD Alcohol 40-C: Denatured Alcohols caused dryness to the scalp.
d. Fragrance, parfum: Synthetic Fragrances is infamous for skin reactions, whether redness, itching, hives or dermatitis. Sometimes Fragrance contains Phthalates. And Phthalates is bad for our health, it has already been banned in Canada in 1994 and United States on 2008.
Now let's proceed with my recommendation for a hair mask for damaged hair. Let me start with the most luxury to the most affordable.
1. Gisou Hair Mask honey-infused
Gisou brand is owned by Negin Mirsalehi a famous influencer and landed one of the 30 Under 30 Europe Forbes. The short story of how Gisou was created, was inspired by her father who is a beekeeper since 1985 and her mother discovered the secret of infused honey to hair care products. And Gisou was born with millions of dollars products sold. Gisou also means women's hair in Persian. That's inspiring, right? there's no doubt if Negin Mirsalehi becomes successful with Gisou well look at her hair it's one of the most beautiful hair I've ever seen. Too much perfection!

Gisou hair mask's main product is honey, but what are the benefits of honey in our hair? Honey has emollients that smooth the hair follicles and provide shines to a damaged hair, honey also has humectants that add moisture to dry strands. By the way loves I don't want to skip this but the Gisou hair mask has "fragrance" in its ingredients. Remember the ingredients we need to avoid? that's it. However, they claimed that the fragrance is made of 100% natural ingredients. Their hair mask is also Cruelty-free; Sulfate-free; Paraben-free; Phthalate-free and suitable for all hair types. There's a lot of good reviews of Gisou and how it works wonders. One of the easiest ways to purchase a Gisou Hair mask is in Sephora.

2. Olaplex No. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask
After writing my first recommendation, I immediately researched the second hair mask product, I make sure that the price is in the middle range and I discovered the booming Olaplex No. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask. It's inspiring to know that the Olaplex brand started from a humble beginning in a California garage in 2014. They are proud of one of their main ingredients Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate is a hair product ingredient is known as bond builders and it helps to restore damaged hair. Olapex products are paraben-free, sulfate-free, Phthalates free and Phosphate free which are bad in our scalp and hair strands.

Now let's talk about the Olaplex No. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask is a highly concentrated repair mask with a unique packaging because of its airless pump. Aside from Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate Olaplex No. 8 has hyaluronic acid, ceramides and oils including avocado and rice bran oils. Olaplex No. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask is really promising, I haven't tried it yet but I'm planning to purchase it soon in Beauty Bay.
3. Care Beau Fantasy Hair Treatment Wax Sakura
As of the moment, Carebeau Fantasy Hair Treatment Wax Sakura is my hair mask holy grail at the moment, it does the job plus it's very affordable. Care Beau Fantasy Hair Treatment Wax Sakura is manufactured by a Thai company SB INTERLAB CO.LTD or commonly known as Care Beau. Care Beau company is not only creating good and affordable products but also they provide an opportunity for Thai people.
Now let's talk about the Carebeau Fantasy Hair Treatment Wax Sakura, my friend's mom used it before when she is still in Thailand and according to her Carebeau Fantasy Hair Treatment Wax Sakura works amazingly and it's so affordable. So, I bought one in Shopee TH, I am so surprised how my hair feels so soft, bouncy and glossy which by the way so much better than using a conditioner every day. You might be shocked when you found out that Carebeau Fantasy Hair Treatment Wax Sakura has an ingredient of methosulfate, I know that I mentioned above that we must avoid any types of sulfate in our hair and skin products. But, methosulfate is not a sulfate, it is an extract from rapeseed oil that helps detangle hair strands and an excellent moisturizer and conditioner, in other words, methosulfate is not harmful.
And that's it loves, my three recommendations for best hair mask for all types of hair.
